How is a new pipe laid using trenchless technology?

By excavating small holes usually 1 meter in length and around 15 meters apart a ' moling tool ' is sent underground between the two excavations boring a small diameter hole large enough for a new pipe or duct to be pulled through.

How long will a new pipe take to install?

This will be dependant on the length of new pipe to be replaced and the ground conditions at the property, but we always aim to complete the job in one day or less.

Can you excavate old concrete and tarmac driveways ready for new ones too be laid?

Yes.
We have all the equipment to break out any old surface.

Will laying a new water pipe create a lot of mess?

Although we have to excavate small holes, we try and do this in areas that can be easily reinstated without any or little evidence of disturbance. ie In Garden areas. Although we can excavate in any surface if this is preferred. All leftover waste materials will be taken away and your property left as we found it.

Will my water supply be turned off while the work is in progress?

No.
Your water supply will not be turned off until we have all the new pipe laid. We will then turn off your supply whilst we make the connections to commission your new supply, this generally would only take around 1 hour.

Will I have to move all the broken out concrete and tarmac myself if i have my old drive excavated?

No.
We will arrange a grab lorry who will clear all the excavated material, sweep up and make tidy.
